Consume You It Will: Choosing Your Path
Dark side.

Every time you kill or threaten an innocent NPC or choose another cruel action, KOTOR awards you Dark side points. Your character’s appearance changes if you continue down that path, becoming more sinister looking. A meter on your character’s status screen shows how far you’ve gone toward the Dark side, which gives you an opportunity to atone for your actions with kind behavior. If you’ve headed too far in one direction, however, you’ll have a hard time moving in the opposite one.

Lou Grant, Jedi?
Master Vrook

Astute players may notice a familiar voice among the members of the Jedi Council in the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine. Ed Asner, best known for the role of hard-nosed TV newsroom boss Lou Grant, voices Master Vrook Lamar. Gallo relates an interesting story about how Asner became involved with the game.

“The character description said ‘This guy should sound like Ed Asner,’” he recalls. “The voice actor we brought in was concerned that he could pull it off, so he said ‘Well, Ed’s my neighbor, let me give him a call.’ Mr. Asner came in and did all of his lines in one session, pretty much nailing all of them on the first take.”
