The Incredibles Game

In The Incredibles adventure game, you can play as all four of the members of the Incredible family. The game loosely follows the film’s plot, starting the action, as the movie does, during Mr. Incredible’s early career before moving to the present-day timeline and the threat posed by the villain called Syndrome. However, the story diverges whenever possible to offer action sequences you didn’t see in the theater. For example, the opening bank robbery sequence turns into an extended adventure as Mr. Incredible tries to nab a series of crooks.

Here’s what you need to know about each member of the Incredibles family:

Mr. Incredible: After a series of lawsuits forced the government to put superheroes into a relocation program and pay settlements to the plaintiffs, Mr. Incredible reverted to his secret identity, Bob Parr. Married with three children (the baby seems to have no powers), Bob now works as an insurance adjuster. He longs for the old days, though, and a mysterious message from a woman who calls herself Mirage prompts him to pull out his old costume.

Mr. Incredible’s Incredi-Moves include his high-powered Incredi-Punch, a crouch-jump that allows him to reach high altitudes, rolling over his enemies and his super throw, which he can even use to toss bad guys into each other. He can also pick up heavy objects and turn them in place or throw them at enemies.

Mrs. Incredible (Elasti-Girl): Helen Parr married Bob before superheroes went underground. She seems content to live as a suburban housewife, but perhaps she’s putting on a front for the sake of her kids, two of whom also have superpowers but are forbidden from using them. When she discovers that Bob was fired from his job and is fielding phone calls from a mysterious woman, her suspicions that he’s having an affair lead her into helping him with his latest assignment.

Her Incredi-Moves include the ability to extend her arm and punch out henchmen even when they’re far away, swinging from one elevated grapple point to another and the ability to pick up bad guys and toss them.

Take That! And That! A younger Mr. Incredible fights crime during the first level of the adventure game.

Violet: A typical junior high student, Violet Parr wears her hair over her eyes and pines for the cutest boy in school, using her invisibility power to get close without him noticing her. When her mother leaves to find her father, however, she and younger brother Dash stow away on the plane. They soon find themselves in a dangerous situation that requires them to use their powers to survive.

Violet’s Incredi-Moves include her ability to turn invisible, which now helps her get away from the bad guys who want to kill her, and her force shield, a wall of energy that repels enemy attacks. When she teams up with Dash, she can turn her force shield into a ball that he runs inside, getting them away from Syndrome’s henchmen at top speeds.

Dash: The youngest Parr child except for the infant Jack-Jack, who’s left behind with a babysitter when he and his sister sneak aboard the plane their mother borrowed, Dashiell was born with the ability to run so fast that he can become invisible to the naked eye. Unlike his sister, he’s not shy about his power and wishes he could use it to excel at athletics, something his mother forbids.

Dash can pick up a turbo boost of speed when necessary, but don’t use it too often or he’ll overheat. When he and Violet team up to use the Incredi-Ball, you can bowl over henchmen with it. Just watch out for their attacks, which decrease the ball’s power. If it hits zero, Violet loses her concentration and the ball disappears, leaving the siblings vulnerable.

The Incredibles: When Danger Calls Game

Flash's classroom.

Game box.

The Incredibles: When Danger Calls activity center for kids features 10 games from the workshop of Edna, a designer who used to create suits for superheroes but now assembles fashions for supermodels, much to her chagrin. She relishes the opportunity to create new suits for the Incredibles, however, as well as new games featuring them and their faithful ally, Frozone.

After Edna introduces you to her workshop, you can choose which game you want to play. Each member of the Incredibles family offers two types of games, one that’s regular and one that’s super. You can only play the regular games, as represented by the characters dressed in their normal clothing, until you finish them with high enough scores to unlock the super ones. To access a super game, click the now-lit Incredibles icon under a family member to see him or her in their Edna-designed costume.

Once you complete all eight games with satisfactory scores, the ones featuring Frozone and Omnidroid become available. As you progress through all the games, you can unlock coloring book pages to print out, wallpapers that you can download, Incredibles icons to use in the Finder, screensavers and clips from the movie.

Frozone’s Flamefighter: Use Frozone’s powers to shoot ice at the flames licking the windows of the building. Don’t forget to direct Frozone to the water fountain when he needs to replenish his water supply.

Velocipod Bowling: Syndrome’s henchmen pilot velocipods around the island as they patrol it and take out trespassers. Help Mr. Incredible destroy the velocipods guarding the entrance to Syndrome’s headquarters so that he can get inside and stop the former fan club president’s evil plans.

Violet Surrounded: Syndrome’s guards have cornered Violet, but she can use her force shield to bounce their shots back at them. Keep it up until she can get away.

100 Mile Dash: Separated from Violet, Dash must make his way through the jungle while henchmen-flown velocipods chase him. Use Dash’s super speed to stay one step ahead, but when you can, jump into the air, land on a velocipod, and knock out the henchman at the controls.

Omnidroid Final Battle: Syndrome has launched a rocket that brings a seemingly invulnerable Omnidroid to the heart of Metroville. Use the four Incredibles to defeat it, with Frozone helping out for as long as his frost power lasts.
