One last cupcake to the face and that Bottom Feeder Cog is finished. He spins out of control, gears and other parts flying from his body, before he explodes. Princess Bubbles Kookyberry erupts into a happy dance to celebrate her victory. Her mission complete, she tosses a black circle on the ground and jumps in, arriving on the other side at her private house.

Disney’s ToonTown Online

Princess Bubbles enters and heads to her phone, where she places an order from Clarabelle’s latest Cattlelog. After selecting a flower painting for 425 jellybeans and a new lamp for another 54 beans, she decides to do some redecorating, moving her jellybean bank to a new location to make room for the lamp and storing an old painting in her attic.

Then a friend contacts her: Some of their mutual pals are meeting at the Goofy Speedway for a few races at Corkscrew Coliseum. Princess Bubbles looks forward to earning the last few tickets she needs to buy a Roadster kart. The first two races are close, as well-timed banana drops and anvil throws decide the winners, but Princess Bubbles finishes first in the final race with a last-second turbo boost, earning just enough tickets to get that better kart.

Racing with the Roadster will have to wait, however, because Princess Bubbles and her friends decide to head off for Donald’s Dock, where they must defeat enough high-level Cogs to complete their latest Toon Tasks.

Your Online Disneyland

Welcome to the massively multi-player online role-playing game Toontown, where your silliest dreams come true in a Disney setting. Create up to six personalized Toons, each with its own Toon house where it can store extra clothes, order special stuff from Clarabelle’s Cattlelog, and bank the jellybeans that are Toontown’s currency.

Explore six themed neighborhoods — Toontown Central, Donald’s Dock, Daisy Gardens, Minnie’s Melodyland, Pluto’s The Brrrgh, and Donald’s Dreamland — where hundreds of quests, known as Toon Tasks, await you with their rewards. Battle Cogs with 40+ cartoon gags at your disposal. Take a break by racing your customized kart on one of six different tracks, playing with your pet Doodle, and fishing in one of the ponds. Say “hi” to Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and the rest of your favorite Disney characters.

And, of course, make friends and chat with them while online. Speed Chat makes it easy to make small talk without any typing, and the Secret Friends option lets you engage in private conversations with other Toons without anyone else understanding what you’re saying. Parental controls ensure that children stay safe while playing Toontown Online.

When Cogs Attack

The main action in Toontown revolves around the Cogs’ invasion of the city. Those humorless corporate automatons come in a variety of types — Lawbots, Cashbots, Sellbots, and Bossbots — but they all share one thing in common: a desire to make Toontown a drab place. You have laughter on your side, however, in the form of the gags you use to defeat them. As you complete Toon Tasks, you learn how to use more powerful gags, which are necessary to destroy higher-level Cogs. When you become really experienced at the game, get together with some friends and take over a Cog building.

Various gags.

You spend jellybeans to replenish your gag arsenal. You earn the tasty treats by hopping on the trolley and competing in games, by selling the fish you catch, and by completing certain Toon Tasks. You can also use jellybeans to buy pet Doodles and to order new stuff from the Cattlelog. Those new items can include anything from new Speed Chat phrases to new items for decorating your Toon’s private house.

Your Shticker Book helps you keep track of your Toontown activities, from your progress in various Toon Tasks to the trophies you’ve earned while fishing and racing. You can also check your stock of gags and see how far you’ve progressed in the seven tracks of gag training. While you’re at it, see how many of the 32 different Cogs you’ve defeated so far.

Disney updates Toontown Online on a regular basis, adding new gags, new ways to decorate your Toon’s house, and more. Between updates, there’s plenty to see and do in the game’s six neighborhoods, which get progressively harder. Good luck in your battle against the Cogs.
