Otto’s a robot charged with saving unlucky humans from capture by malicious aliens. He’s also the star of Otto Matic, a fun-for-all game for your Mac from Pangea Software, the company that brought you Bugdom and Cro-Mag Rally.
According to Pangea, the game is available from publisher Aspyr Media at retail stores everywhere (including the new Apple Stores).

Featuring 3D graphics full of detail and color and cartoonish, strange worlds, Pangea founder Brian Greenstone’s creations embody the spirit of the Mac: easy to grasp, yet addictive to play with, featuring a sleek design that reflects cutting-edge technology.
Otto Matic is an energetic 3D action/adventure game that manages to carry forward all that Greenstone learned in creating his previous titles without duplication or repetition. In this game that mixes action with fast-paced puzzle solving, you guide Otto Matic on a surreal adventure from one world to the next, battling a host of enemies and rescuing the helpless humans caught in the middle. It was clearly (and proudly) influenced by the great sci-fi films of the 50s and 60s (The Day The Earth Stood Still, This Island Earth, and Plan Nine from Outer Space, just to name a few).

Viewing the action through an overhead
3D perspective that will be instantly familiar to players of Nanosaur and Bugdom, players maneuver the wily robot through complex landscapes full of deadly obstacles. With an arsenal of weapons ranging from a stun pistol to a “flame gun” and a “supernova” weapon, which wipes out all enemies in view, Otto is well equipped to deal with the unfriendly life forms he will encounter.
But not all problems can be solved with a blaster — he will have to be fleet of foot to escape the pools of slime, crushing gears and myriad creatures in his way.
Equipped with a jetpack for emergency getaways and a killer right hook for the times his blaster is out of ammo, Otto ventures through ten levels of manic mayhem in his quest to save humans from alien abduction.
